- • To gain education about the terminology of Tabla and its application in the context of Indian Classical Music.
- • To add to their knowledge of the Origin and Development of various percussion instruments, different gharanas of Tabla, biographies of Eminent Artists and their contribution, history of Vocal Music, Instrumental Music, and Kathak Dance.
- • To soundly understand the Structural design, Mechanism, and Dynamics of all the ancient as well as modern Indian Percussion instruments and apply this knowledge to different genres of Music.
- • To inculcate knowledge about the Theoretical aspects of the prescribed Taals and compositions related to practical performance (Solo Playing as well as Accompaniment).
- • To develop performance skills amongst students for playing Tabla- Solo as well as the sense of accompaniment with different forms of Music.
- • To enhance the ability to Think (Creativity), Speak (Padhant), and Write Notation of Taals and Compositions of the Tabla.
- • To enhance the students’ ability to think and write on various topics pertaining to music.
- • To develop playing techniques and recitation skills of different taals and bandishes.
- • To develop knowledge about the classification of Instruments.
- • To analyse and evaluate the historical significance and cultural impact of various percussion instruments, including the Tabla, within the context of Indian Classical Music.
